We work with Ridgeway Music, a Sheffield based music service which provides instrumental tuition throughout Sheffield, Chesterfield and Barnsley. Ridgeway first began offering tuition under the leadership of our current head of service, Andrew Corker BMus (Sheffield) in 1996. Since then the service has continued to thrive, now boasting fully qualified tutors across woodwind, brass, strings and percussion.
Our staff are all dedicated musicians educated to degree level and beyond, with experience and knowledge of a wide variety of musical styles from classical, musical theatre, rock and pop, folk and much more! - Lessons are timetabled weekly during the school day and last for a minimum of 15 minutes. Following a starter scheme, a 15 minute lesson costs £6.00 per week. - We have a large stock of quality instruments available to hire from just £1.25 per week. - Regular individual lessons are supported by weekly ensemble opportunities within our schools (both primary & secondary) and concerts throughout the year. - Many students also go on to take external examinations with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. |
